New VAT RateValue Added Tax rate change The Government is changing the VAT rate from 17.5% to 15%. If you are VAT registered and have an eCommerce site with 7Soft this is likely to apply to all items unless your products are zero rated. What does this mean for my website if i take payments and i am VAT registered? Ecommerce Website This means that all applicable products on your website must be changed to reflect the new VAT rate and any new products created on your site must be set to use the new VAT rate too. If you have a large database of products and don't have the manpower or time to make these changes, this could be a potential problem for your sales. 7Soft can make the necessary changes for you to your website, affecting all products or in special cases, only those products that require a VAT rate change. We can also ensure that all new products you create will automatically be set to use the new VAT rate. We will also check your Delivery Rates to ensure the VAT rate has been altered correctly. Directory/Listing/Dating Website All your listings and subscription packages will need the VAT rate altering. Basically if you charge for a product or a service and your company is VAT registered one of these will apply to you. I would like to keep my retail price the same If you want to keep your retail price the same we can alter all your EX-VAT prices. |
