Why do i need to add more content to my website?

If you want your website to improve in the search engine results it is important that you have enough content on your website. Content is read by the search engines and this information is used in its calculation of where your website will be positioned in its search results.

Therefore this is one of the most important areas of your website that you should concentrate on and not just once but on a regular basis.

How often do you add new content to your website?

Ideally new content should be added on a regular basis. Once a week is good but once a month is more realistic.

What should i write content about?

You should be writing content that is relevant to what you want your website to be found for, so for example if you are a hotel in Derbyshire write content about Derbyshire, where to go, why stay at your hotel in Derbyshire.
if you are a plumber in Sheffield then a piece written about what services you offer and the areas you cover or what to do in an emergency.

Think about what information might be useful to people visiting your website, maybe add news about new products or services you offer, changes in legislation etc.

There will always be something to write about for your website, use your imagination look at similar websites to yours for inspiration.

What if i am not skilled enough to write content?

Writing Content for websites can be done by anyone but as with anything the more skilled you are at writing then the better your content will be. give it a go and write something and you may be suprised.
